What is Voxborn?

Voxborn: Rise of the Nameless Knight is a solo–developed voxel adventure set on a mysterious island shattered into different biomes – calm fields, hot desert, dark swamps and thick jungle. You explore, fight, talk to weird NPCs and slowly piece together what really happened the night your ship was torn apart.

The story is released in chapters: you start with Chapter Zero as a focused taste of the full saga – and new locations, enemies and story arcs arrive with future chapters.

Shipwreck, kingdom, arena

From a quiet beach hut and an old fisherman to a corrupt arena in the heart of a broken kingdom – meet characters with their own secrets and problems.

Companion

A black schnauzer at your side

Romeo is not just a mascot. He reacts to danger, helps you explore and throws in comments about your questionable decisions.

Gameplay

Explore, fight, build (a bit)

Sneak around alien creatures, survive arena encounters and use simple voxel building to shape shortcuts, defenses and tiny safe spots.

World

One island, many moods

Bright coastal vibes, moody swamps, sun–burned desert and oppressive jungle. Each biome has its own threats, story beats and ambient tone.

Tone

Epic, but a bit sarcastic

The world is dark, the story serious – but the dialogues keep a touch of dry humor and meta comments from both the hero and the dog.

Built in Unreal Engine & voxels

Isometric–friendly camera, voxel–inspired visuals and dynamic systems created to support sandbox quests and AI–driven NPC dialogues later on.

Create your own arenas and island scenarios, publish them and let other players explore and vote. The best community maps climb to a featured list in the game.

The island you shouldn't have found

Voxborn’s island is split into zones that feel like different games stitched together – all built from chunky voxels, but each with its own light, music and dangers.

From the beach to the castle, from fisherman’s hut to the arena under a giant boss lurking behind its walls.

  • Newly–built school–like complex turned into a stealth & exploration zone.
  • Sun–drenched fields that look safe – until something moves in the tall grass.
  • Swamps where fog eats your visibility and your courage.
  • Jungle that hides both ruins and things that clearly don’t belong here.
  • Castle district with the arena and something huge behind it.

Story released in chapters

Voxborn is planned as a chapter–based adventure. You start with a tight, atmospheric prologue – and as development continues, new chapters add locations, enemies and big story beats for the Nameless Knight.

The Beach & The Fisherman

You wake up on the shore, meet the lone fisherman and slowly discover that the island is very wrong. A first look at the school–like complex, strange creatures and the path that leads towards the distant castle.

Deeper into the city and its rulers. Arena fights become part of the story, and the Nameless Knight starts to understand who pulls the strings behind the island.

Where the project is heading

Voxborn is in active development by a solo creator. The plan can change, but for now the path looks something like this:

Phase 1

Core island & Chapter Zero

Beach opening, fisherman NPC, first monsters and systems for exploration, basic combat and your dog companion – all wrapped into a strong Chapter Zero slice.

Phase 2

Chapters I–II & kingdom

City district, arena fights, new biomes and main story beats with the ruling power of the island. Expanding the Nameless Knight’s journey.

Phase 3

Systems, editor & polish

Deeper quests, more reactive NPCs, additional creatures, and a map editor with online sharing and voting so the best community creations can shine.
